1. About These Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Menu Static, including our website, library, search features, download functionality, and any contribution tools we make available (collectively, the “Platform”). They form a binding agreement between you and Menu Static.

Continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the Platform.
2. What Menu Static Is — and Is Not
Menu Static is a community-powered digital library that hosts PDF restaurant menus uploaded by its users. We are a platform, not a restaurant, not a food critic, and not a dining reservation service. We do not create menus, we do not verify the current accuracy of every menu in real time, and we do not represent or speak on behalf of any restaurant listed in our library.
The menus available on Menu Static are the intellectual property of the restaurants that created them. Menu Static does not claim ownership over any menu hosted on the Platform. We are a conduit — a library that organizes and makes accessible documents that already exist in the world. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any menu from the originating restaurant to Menu Static or to any user.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Menu Static. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to use the Platform. By using Menu Static, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Using the Platform
4.1 Permitted Use You may use Menu Static to browse, search, and download restaurant menus for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may share individual menu listings with others for the same purposes. You may use menu information to inform personal dining decisions, travel planning, and similar activities.
4.2 Prohibited Use You may not use Menu Static in any of the following ways:
You may not reproduce, redistribute, republish, or resell menu PDFs hosted on our Platform for commercial purposes without the express written permission of the restaurant that owns the menu. The menus belong to the restaurants — not to you, and not to us.
You may not use automated tools, scrapers, bots, or crawlers to extract content from Menu Static in bulk without our prior written consent.
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, our servers, or any systems or networks connected to Menu Static.
You may not upload content that you do not have the right to share, including menus you have created yourself rather than sourced from the restaurant, or documents belonging to third parties who have not authorized you to distribute them.
You may not use the Platform to distribute malware, spam, or any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
You may not misrepresent the source or authenticity of any content you upload.
You may not use Menu Static in any way that damages, disables, or impairs the Platform or interferes with other users’ access to it.
5. User Contributions
5.1 What You Can Submit Contributors may upload official PDF menus that have been produced and published by the restaurant itself. This includes menus sourced from a restaurant’s own website, provided directly by the restaurant, or obtained in original, unaltered form from the restaurant in a public setting.
5.2 What You Cannot Submit You may not upload menus you have transcribed, typed, or reconstructed from memory. You may not upload photographs of menus converted to PDF. You may not upload altered, edited, or fabricated versions of a restaurant’s menu. You may not upload any document you do not have the right to distribute.
5.3 Your Representations as a Contributor By uploading any content to Menu Static, you represent and warrant that you have the right to share the content, that the content is authentic and unaltered, that the content does not infringe the rights of any third party, and that your submission complies with these Terms. You understand that Menu Static relies on these representations and that false submissions may be removed and may result in the suspension of your access to the Platform.
5.4 License You Grant to Menu Static By submitting content to Menu Static, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, organize, and make available your submission through the Platform for as long as it remains in the library. This license does not transfer ownership of the underlying content. You do not grant Menu Static the right to sell or commercially exploit your submission. We may remove any submission at our discretion, including in response to removal requests from the originating restaurant or for violations of these Terms.
6. Intellectual Property — Menus Belong to Restaurants
We want to be transparent and direct about this: the menus on Menu Static belong to the restaurants that created them, not to Menu Static and not to our users. Restaurants retain full ownership of their menus at all times, regardless of whether those menus appear in our library.
Menu Static operates as a sharing platform in good faith, with the intent of helping diners access information that restaurants have already made publicly available. We do not claim any proprietary rights over the menus we host. If a restaurant contacts us to request the removal of their menu, we will process that request promptly and without requiring justification.
If you believe that content on Menu Static infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us using the details provided in Section 12. We take these matters seriously and will respond in a timely manner.
7. Accuracy and Currency of Information
Menu Static does not guarantee that the menus in our library are current, complete, or accurate at the time you access them. Restaurants change their menus regularly — prices shift, dishes are added or removed, and seasonal offerings come and go. The menus in our library reflect what was uploaded at the time of contribution and may not reflect a restaurant’s current offerings.
Every listing displays the date it was uploaded. We encourage you to use this information to judge how recent the menu is and to verify directly with the restaurant if you need to confirm current pricing or availability. Menu Static is not liable for any decisions made based on information that has since become outdated.
8. Third-Party Content and Links
Menu Static may contain links to third-party websites, including restaurant websites and external resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party website. Accessing any third-party site through Menu Static is at your own risk.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Menu Static is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform or its content, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted access. We do not warrant that the Platform will be free of errors, viruses, or other harmful components.
Your use of Menu Static is entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Menu Static and its operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to damages arising from reliance on inaccurate menu information, loss of data, or unauthorized access to your information.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim — which, given that Menu Static is free, will in most cases be zero.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Menu Static and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Platform, your submissions, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Removal Requests and Reporting
Restaurants: If you are a restaurant owner or authorized representative and you wish to have your menu removed from Menu Static, please contact us through our designated removal request channel. We will process your request promptly. You are not required to provide extensive documentation or justification — your menu is yours, and your request is sufficient.
Users: If you believe any content on the Platform is inaccurate, outdated, or in violation of these Terms, please use the reporting feature on the relevant listing or contact us directly. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
Copyright Concerns: If you believe that content on Menu Static infringes your copyright, please submit a notice that includes a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, the URL of the content in question, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner. We will respond promptly.
13. Termination and Access
Menu Static reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that harms the Platform, its users, or any third party. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Contributions you have made may remain in the library at our discretion unless removal is requested.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the applicable jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
